10 Great Fall 2024 Fashion Finds! | Styling Tips | Women Over 40

Introduction

Hello, family! Welcome back to my channel. If you're new here, my name is Angela, and I create beauty, fashion, and lifestyle content specifically for women over 40. But today’s video is for any woman who adores style!

In this video, I embarked on my very first in-store try-on experience. While I picked up a few items, I won’t be calling it a haul, as I only bought four things: a pair of jeans, a stylish shirt, some earrings, and a dress. I headed to Nordstrom for some vlogging to showcase certain pieces I’ve featured in my content so you can get a real feel for them. Surprisingly, although Nordstrom was my main target, I discovered some fabulous finds at Banana Republic and even visited Sephora for makeup samples.

The Shopping Experience

I initially popped into Nordstrom looking for foundation but ended up getting a few samples instead. The staff member wasn’t very knowledgeable, so I decided to visit Sephora right after. The lovely lady at Sephora helped me narrow down my options, and I discovered a fantastic shade of foundation from House Labs by Lady Gaga—it's perfect for summer. However, I’ll need a different winter color.

While exploring the mall with my husband and son, we made our way to Banana Republic, where I was genuinely impressed. The pieces looked drastically better in-store than they did on the website, particularly the men's clothing. I filmed some of my experiences, and I plan to share that in this video as well.

Once I arrived at Nordstrom, I did a bit of shopping and tried on multiple items that caught my eye. My husband was patient, filming everything as I showcased my fashion finds. Spoiler alert: there weren’t any misses—the pieces I tried on were generally quite flattering, and I ended up loving most of them.

Highlights from the Try-On

• Animal Prints: You’ll see plenty of adorable animal print pieces, great for layering under blazers or wearing standalone.
• Quality Tops: I found several stylish tops that are perfect for the fall transition.
• Dressy Shorts: These were eye-catching and versatile enough to dress up or down.

Throughout my shopping spree, I also discovered a new Mango store which opened within the last year. The staff there were exceptionally helpful, which made my try-on experience even more enjoyable.

I rated each piece I tried on from one to ten (with ten being fabulous). I'm pleased to report that there weren’t any low scores—every item I tried had its unique charm, which made this endeavor worthwhile.
