Auto Color Grading - Photoshop Tutorials & Tips

Hi friends, welcome back to PS desire! Today, I will show you how to create unlimited dramatic color grading styles using Adobe Photoshop. In this tutorial, we will utilize adjustment layers and gradient maps to achieve unique and creative looks for your photos.

To begin, open your image in Photoshop and click on the adjustment layer icon at the bottom of the layers panel. Choose "Gradient Map" from the drop-down menu and select the black to white gradient. Change the blend mode to "Hard Mix" for a more intense look, and adjust the fill opacity to around 30-35%. By double-clicking on the gradient map icon, you can access the gradient editor and make further adjustments such as changing the gradient type to noise and adjusting the roughness.

Experiment with the randomize button to generate unlimited color grading styles. You can protect highlights and shadows by adjusting the blend if section in the gradient map layer properties. Continue fine-tuning your color grading style by experimenting with different variations of the gradient map, adjusting properties like roughness, and using the randomize button to generate more styles.

For a second example, open a landscape image, apply the gradient map adjustment layer, and follow similar steps as before. By following these tips and tricks, you can create stunning and original color grading styles for various types of photos, including landscapes, portraits, and street photography.
