Best FREE DeepFake Video AI Tool || Create DeepFake Videos Using AI Online

Artificial intelligence is becoming more advanced and, in some cases, more dangerous with each passing day. Today, we can achieve feats with AI that were once deemed impossible. While the future holds many surprises, some AI tools are already capable of stealing your identity with just a picture. In today's video, we will explore a free AI tool that can change the face of a person in a video. Let's dive in!

Getting Started with Google Colab

Today, we will run the AI tool using Google Colab. If you have a high-configuration computer with a decent GPU, you can install it locally. I will make a separate video on local installation, but for now, we will use Google Colab. The link to the tool is in the description below. Click the link to access the page for Roop, a one-click deepfake tool that is free to use.

Connecting to the Server

First, connect to a server by clicking the "Connect" button. You may need to solve a captcha. Once connected, go to the left side of the page and click on the folder icon to open a new tab. Upload your target video and source image by clicking on the file upload icon. For this demonstration, I have chosen a video of Captain America as the target video and an image of Elon Musk as the source image. Select both files and click "Open."

Installing Dependencies

Next, go to the "Clone Roop Repo" section and install the dependencies by clicking the "Run" button. You will see a warning; click "Run Anyway." The installation process takes about two minutes. After installation, click the drop-down button and run the "Download Model" command, which takes about seven to eight seconds.

Swapping Faces in the Video

Now, the main task begins. We will swap faces in the video using this deepfake tool. In the first line, you will see "Target" where you need to put your target video. Go to the folder option, click on the three-dot menu of your target video, and select "Copy Path." Paste the path in the "content/video.mp4" field. Similarly, change the source image path by copying and pasting the path of your source image.

Click the "Run" button. If you encounter an error related to "video quality 18," delete that line from the shell and run the model again. If your target or source file names contain spaces, you may face another error. Rename the files if necessary. Once the model runs successfully, it will take some time to process.

Downloading the Output

After the AI completes its work, go to the directory tab and refresh it. You will find a new file named "swap.mp4." Click on the three-dot menu and select "Download." Your file will download instantly. Let's play the video to see the results. The AI tool perfectly captures expressions, gestures, and even wrinkles, making Elon Musk appear as Captain America.

Experimenting with Different Faces

If you want to change the target video, upload another video and copy its file path. Similarly, if you want to swap faces with another person, upload the source image and paste its file path. I experimented with faces like Mr. Bean, Joe Biden, and Chris Hemsworth. The tool allows you to create unlimited deepfake videos for free, without needing a GPU.

Conclusion

This AI tool is truly impressive and offers a lot of potential for creating deepfake videos. The creator of this tool deserves a big thumbs up.
