Introduction

One of the most worrying things is that on the day of Judgment, we will be alone questioned by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala about ourselves. Yet, on Earth, we are worried about everyone else. We tend to divert our attention away from the main day, the day of Judgment, which is mentioned multiple times in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

On that day, every soul will be alone and will have to fight its own case. Nobody will be able to worry about another, be it a spouse, child, sibling, or friend. Each person will be worried about themselves, including the Prophets of Allah except for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who will be speaking on behalf of the Ummah (the Muslim community).

Allah Almighty says that on that day, everyone will run away from each other. Each person will have their own issues to deal with and will realize the need to defend themselves. Allah says that every soul will come and fight their own case, worried about what they have done on Earth. Allah warns us to worry about ourselves and seek His forgiveness, as it will get us a long way on the day of Judgment.

We will come alone in front of Allah, knowing what sins we have committed, but there may be sins we have forgotten or committed unknowingly. Allah will remind us of our deeds on that day. On the day of Judgment, Allah will not ask us about what others have done; He will only ask us about ourselves.

One of the plots of Shaytan (Satan) is to make us commit sins without realizing it. We may trivialize sins or engage in backbiting, not realizing the severity of our actions. Allah warns us about the sins of backbiting and warns us of the consequences. On that day, backbiting will be detested, and we will have to answer for our actions. We must seek forgiveness and think good of others rather than looking for reasons why they may not be good Muslims.

We must be concerned about our own actions and worry about our meeting with Allah. We must be respectful in our interactions with others and avoid insulting or abusing them. The true believers are those who think good of others and are occupied with correcting their own weaknesses rather than engaging in the weaknesses of others.

We should strive to become disciplined Muslims and help others without harm. Our goal should be to enter Jannah (Paradise) and avoid wishing harm upon others. May Allah purify our hearts and grant us goodness.
