Focus Update 2.4.0 - Custom VAEs, Hyper-SD, Random Styles, and More

Hey everyone, Rodney here at Cleav Tech, and today we have a focus update video after a while without updates. We get some quality of life improvements and a few new things in the back end with the latest version, which is 2.4.0. This update should happen automatically when you start Focus. After testing out the new version and figuring out all the new features work, I'm going to give you all the details you should need to get started with most of these. Some are obvious, but others may not be so much, but I'm going to show you what I figured out so far.

First on the list is support for downloading hugging face files from a mirror site. Next is an update to interposer from 3.1 to 4.0. A new reconnect button has been added, allowing you to resume work if Focus crashes or if the command window is accidentally closed. The introduction of the ability to select a custom VAE has been implemented. Another new feature is the option to select a random style in the Style section. The default anime model has been updated from anima pencil XL version one to version 3.1. Changes to the log file now allow the display of full raw prompts. An option to automatically describe the image has been added. An NSFW filter is now available, and users can also include luras in prompts.

Additional features include new schedulers to choose from, minor changes to the image input area, the ability to change the color of the inpainting brush, the option to bypass clip layers, and the new hyper SD option.

I would like to thank Mashbit for the hard work and effort in getting these updates into Focus and managing the Focus project. Don't forget to check out all the videos on Focus for different ways of operation and hidden abilities.

  2. What is the significance of the new hyper SD option in Focus Update 2.4.0? The new hyper SD option utilizes the hyp SD four-step lore behind the scenes, providing users with lower-end systems more options for faster image generation.

  3. How can I enable the NSFW filter in Focus? You can enable the NSFW filter by checking it off in the debug section or by adding a line to your config file to make it always enabled. This filter ensures that potentially inappropriate content is not displayed.
