So someone in the comments asked me how I write and use scripts for my YouTube videos, so a super short video today about scripts. Now it's nothing special that I do, but I guess I've developed my own personal techniques and tricks. First of all, I don't use a teleprompter. When I started my YouTube channel, I wrote a script for every video, every word, every sentence, but I never read the script out loud. I always had my laptop with the script in front of me. These days, I don't write entire scripts anymore for every video; I just write down keywords and topics. If it's a technical topic, I still write down every single sentence in spoken language. The big difference now is that I write everything down with the b-roll already in mind. This way, when the script is finished, I highlight the parts where I'll put b-roll, usually in yellow. This takes away a lot of the pressure I used to feel when recording videos.
scripts, YouTube videos, teleprompter, keywords, b-roll, spoken language, pressure, recording, memorize
