How I write a Movie Script: Phase 1 - Idea to Outlining a Screenplay
When starting the writing process for a movie script, one of the first steps is Phase One, which involves the outlining phase. I begin by listing down a few ideas and then taking the time to mull over them for a few days or weeks to determine which ones resonate with me the most. Once I find an idea that truly captivates me, I develop it into a log line. To add a fun twist to this brainstorming process, I also incorporate the use of AI technology.
Unlike diving straight into writing after developing the log line, I take an unconventional approach. I let the idea marinate for a while until I am so enthusiastic about it that I feel compelled to embark on a writing retreat. This retreat typically spans four days, during which I dedicate two and a half to three hours each day to writing.
