How To Loop Your Clip In After Effects QUICKLY | Super Easy Tutorial
Howto & Style
Introduction
Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I'll be showing you how to quickly and easily loop a section of a clip in After Effects. By following these simple steps, you'll be able to create seamless loops in no time.
To start, make sure your project settings are at 1920x1080 pixels with a frame rate of 25 frames per second. Once you have your clip ready, name it and hit ok. If you're looping a specific section, move the playhead and trim the clip. Right click and select pre-compose, leaving all attributes as is. Then, right click again and choose time > enable time remap.
Next, move the playhead to the beginning of the loop section and place a keyframe. Move to where you want the loop to end and place a second keyframe. This will pin the loop in place. If your clip was cut from a larger clip, delete any keyframes that extend beyond your clip's duration. Move the clip back to the beginning of the playhead.
To create the loop, press and hold alt (Windows) or option (Mac) on your keyboard and select the timer icon, followed by the play icon. Then, head to the property tab, select loop out duration, and set the desired length. Click out of the code window, and you're done!
