How To Use Descript to Clone Voice | Descript AI Tutorial (2024)

Science & Technology

Introduction

Everyone, in today's video, I'm going to be showing you how to clone your voice and use your own voice to make text-to-speech videos in Descript. The first thing you want to do is sign up for Descript and download the program onto your computer. Once you do that, it should open up to something like the projects area. If you want to make your own voice for an AI speaker in Descript, you need to go to the AI speakers section on the left side. If you use the free plan, you'll be limited to about a thousand words of your own voice. To create an AI speaker for your voice, you can hit new speaker and follow the prompts. After reading the text to train the AI, you submit it. Once done, you can use your voice by creating a new audio project, adding your speaker, and then playing back the text-to-speech conversion.
