AI Content Detector and Rewriter - Fail

AI Content Detector and Rewriter - Fail

Hello my digital nomads! In today's video, I want to talk about another AI content rewriter that claims to pass AI detection. Let’s demo this tool called Conch AI. I'll leave a link in the description below in case you want to make sure you have the right software.

Membership Plans

Conch AI offers different memberships:

  • Free Version
  • Pro Version: $ 10/month for 10,000 words
  • Unlimited Plan: $ 20/month for unlimited words

I used the Unlimited Plan to thoroughly test the software and see if it actually works. The interesting part is that this tool is an AI content generator and a rewriter in one. If both work well, you save money as you don't need separate tools for writing, rewriting, and detecting AI content.

Getting Started

When you first log in, a 2-minute video explains everything you need to do. Once ready, click 'I'm ready to start' which takes you to a new document screen.

  1. Create a New Document - Click 'New Document,' type a name like 'Five reasons to get a pet,' and hit enter.
  2. Description - Scroll down to the settings gear icon and give it a quick description. For example, "This is an essay about the benefits of getting a pet." Pick a style (academic, friendly, professional), enable citations, and save the settings.
  3. Generate Outline - Go to templates, click on 'Outline Generator,' and input a thesis like "Here are five reasons why everyone should get a pet." Select a tone (informative, funny) and click 'generate.'

Testing the Tool

The tool generates an outline for you. Once you have it, go to the shell and give a command like 'generate a short essay' using your outline.

However, this is where things went south. No article was generated on my end, which is disappointing since half of the membership's value lies in the article writer. I'll let you know if I find a workaround.

Alternative Approach

I used another tool called Word Hero to generate a small piece of content quickly.

  • Copy the Generated Content into Conch AI: I pasted the content and clicked on 'Enhance.'
  • Rewriting: Selected 'rewrite all.' Although the Conch AI tool detected the AI, the rewritten content wasn't satisfactory. The major issues were:
    • Readability: The text sounded robotic and full of gibberish.
    • Originality Detection: Despite rewriting, originality.ai still detected it as AI-generated.

Based on my experience, the software isn't effective for creating readable, human-like text and fails to pass advanced AI detectors like originality.ai.

Conclusion

To sum up, I'm disappointed with Conch AI. The content writer didn’t work, and the rewritten content was unreadable and detected as AI-generated. I can’t recommend this software at this stage.

However, feel free to check it out yourself as it might still be in development. If you find this review helpful, please give it a like and subscribe for more content. Thank you for watching!
