Transforming Horizontal Footage into Vertical Footage with AI
Today, I'm excited to share with you guys a step-by-step guide to transform your horizontal footage into vertical footage, with the help of AI tools.
Getting the Right Shot: To start, you'll need a static shot with no movement at the top or bottom, similar to the example shown here.
Exporting and Preparing in Photoshop: Next, export a single frame from your footage and move it to Photoshop Beta. Utilize the
Generate Fill
feature to fill in the blank areas, creating a seamless look.Exporting and Editing in Premiere Pro: Once you’re satisfied with the results in Photoshop, export the edited frame as a PNG. Then, import this PNG back into Premiere Pro.
Fitting Your Video: Finally, scale your video to perfectly fit into the PNG frame you created. And there you have it!
For those interested in a deeper dive, I've uploaded a comprehensive tutorial on my YouTube channel.
