AI Meeting Assistant Demo

Science & Technology

Introduction

In today's fast-paced business environment, meeting assistant applications are evolving to offer enhanced functionalities through integrations. This article will delve into how these applications can utilize integrations to distinguish their products. By leveraging data from meetings, they can perform various actions such as creating Salesforce objects, assigning tasks in Asana, and sending messages on Slack based on the content derived from meeting transcriptions.

Integrations in Focus

In our demo application, we showcased three primary integrations: Salesforce, Slack, and Asana. Let’s explore how these integrations can enhance productivity through a practical demonstration involving a sales call transcript.

To kick off the demonstration, we generated a simulated transcript from a sales call between a sales representative and a customer named Michael Johnson. The transcript included important topics such as budget constraints, pricing flexibility, revised proposals, and next steps.

Creating Tasks in Asana

The first action we performed was to create a follow-up task in Asana based on the next steps outlined in the meeting summary. The task created required us to follow up on the sales proposal with Michael Johnson, including notes about budgeting and a revised proposal. After confirming the assignment to our demo user, Jack Moo, we successfully created the task. Upon checking our Asana board, we found the newly created follow-up task, complete with the expected description.

Sending Slack Notifications

Next, we aimed to notify our team of the new task added to Asana via a Slack message. Utilizing a similar structure as the task description, our application drafted an appropriate message alerting the team of the follow-up task. Upon confirmation, we received a successful notification, and the message was sent to the designated Slack channel, keeping everyone informed about the task assigned to Jack Moo.

Creating Salesforce Opportunities

The final integration involved creating a Salesforce opportunity using the details extracted from the meeting transcription. This required custom fields such as budget, authority, need, and timing, which were mapped to our application’s schema.

As we reviewed the details, we confirmed the opportunity name, budget amount, identified needs, and timing, all of which aligned with the discussion from the meeting. After making the necessary confirmations, the opportunity was created successfully. A quick check in Salesforce confirmed the accurate creation of the opportunity, including all relevant data.

Conclusion

Through this demo, we illustrated how meeting assistant applications could harness integrations to enhance overall efficiency in managing tasks, notifications, and CRM entries. The potential for further integrations is vast, and we are excited to explore more features in the future. We invite you to reach out with any questions or suggestions for enhancements.
