Introduction
Last night was bittersweet at my home as we welcomed two goat kids into the world. Unfortunately, the first kid passed away as soon as it was born. The second kid showed some signs of life but, after much effort to revive it, we sadly lost that one too. It was a heartbreaking experience for both my family and me as we tried everything we could to save the little one.
Today, though the sun was shining brightly, we couldn’t shake off the sorrow from last night. While sitting outside to enjoy the lovely weather, my father returned from the market, bringing a lot of goods for our shop with him. My sister and I took the items and organized them in the shop.
Running a shop is exhausting, especially with the constant need to replenish it with new stock daily. Lately, I’ve been feeling particularly weary as some goods don’t yield any profit. For instance, on a box of pulses, there’s barely any markup at all, making it a struggle to sustain the business. After munching on some food myself, customers began to come in, and I helped them with their purchases.
As an additional note, my brother also joined me in the shop today to help out. It’s been a long day, and it’s essential to keep the shop running even during tough times.
