Chilled spring weekend with my Vizsla

Introduction

This weekend was a laid-back adventure, starting with a trip to the beach. I had plans for 12 nights of fun, but it seems my friend Tim had other ideas—perhaps his penchant for snacks, which we've lovingly dubbed "Tommy Tucker." Tim does move like a trucker; it’s just typical of him!

The weather has thrown in a surprise; we had quite a bit of rain last night as we are fresh into spring. With the changing seasons, our spirits are high as we embark on our beach outing.

Before heading out, I caught a glimpse of our playful Vizsla, Jet, who was constantly on the lookout for mischief, particularly regarding his canine friends. Unfortunately, he seemed to be missing his furry pals—many dogs in the area have faced tough circumstances lately, with some being put down due to illnesses.

However, Jet still had his kibble to keep him company. We've been feeding him a raw concentrate called Mighty Mix, a hearty meal that keeps him energized for our adventures. Though it's pricey—about $ 200 a bag—Jet really loves it, and it seems to suit him well.

Despite the showers today, Jet’s excitement was infectious. He ventured into the rain with boundless energy, showing how much he enjoys the outdoors. We even caught him tiptoeing on the wet grass and navigating around the house, searching for dryer spots to prance around in.

Later, I was also working on some outdoor projects but took a break as the rain commenced. As the day unfolded, I found myself appreciating the simple joys—whether that was sanding down a table or watching Jet play with his unbreakable squeaky toy. It had lasted through an impressive four years of rough play!

As the sun peeked through, I noticed Tim cozily napping in the living room, soaking in the warmth. Life’s little moments, such as these, remind me of the beauty spring brings as we unwind together, with Jet bringing zest into our easygoing weekend.
