We're using Cat GPT for this tutorial, an AI tool that can help create characters. Similar tools are also available, including MidJourney and various public websites that function as pixel art generators. The key is to search for "8-bit pixel art" when using these tools.

1. Descriptive Text: The AI works best with detailed descriptions. For instance, I used "8-bit pixel art of guy with dark blonde hair, blue eyes, Caucasian, wearing a black turtleneck."
2. Selecting the Best Image: Once the AI generates different results, pick the one that suits your needs. I refined my choices by considering facial features and other details.

Editing in Photoshop

After generating the image:

1. Copy and Paste: Right-click on the image, copy it, and then open Photoshop.
2. Remove Background: Use Photoshop's object selection tool to remove the background by applying a mask.
3. Fix Artifacts: Use the rectangle tool and fill options to fix any background artifacts.
4. Export as PNG: Export the edited image as a PNG file.

Animation in After Effects

With the image ready, import it into After Effects along with a background video:
