Runway Gen 3 Alpha

To get started with Runway Gen 3 Alpha, visit their website and sign up for an account. Once you log in, you'll land on the homepage. Simply click "Get Started" to access the main interface.

On the top left, you will find two key options: Gen 3 Alpha and Gen 3 Alpha Turbo. The primary difference is that Gen 3 Alpha allows you to generate videos from text, while Turbo enables the use of images as well. Also noteworthy is that Gen 3 Alpha is more credit-intensive, whereas Turbo is more efficient in terms of credits used.

We'll begin by exploring the image-to-video functionality using the Turbo version. In previous iterations, you had to use brushes to animate images. However, with Turbo Alpha, the process is now straightforward—just upload an image and enter a prompt.

Refer to the Runway prompt guide for Gen 3, which offers helpful keywords related to camera styles, lighting, movement speeds, aesthetics, and text styles. A link to the guide will be included in the description for further reference.

Example Prompt

Once you upload your chosen image, you can enter a prompt. For instance, I uploaded an image and used the prompt: “A teddy bear merrily walking towards the camera.” After setting the duration for 10 seconds and hitting "generate," the platform produced a smooth and natural animation of the teddy bear, showcasing impressive character movements without distortion.

Important Tip

Be mindful when crafting your prompts. Including specific keywords like "towards the camera" can significantly improve the outcome. Otherwise, you may end up with less desirable results.

LTX Studio

The next tool we will examine is LTX Studio. To use it, simply visit their website and sign up. Previously, a waitlist was required, but now the tool is open for everyone.

On the homepage, you are presented with three options to start: you can write a prompt, enter a pre-existing script, or start fresh. LTX Studio takes your input and generates a script, voiceover, and storyline for you. Click on "Write Prompt" to submit your idea.

After submitting your prompt, click "Next" to generate characters based on your input. You can select an aspect ratio and choose from approximately 52 different video styles—ranging from cinematic to anime or comic book styles. For example, I opted for the anime style, but you can also upload an image to tailor the entire video to that reference style.

Adjusting Characters

If the generated characters don't quite match your desired look, adjust the style reference intensity to achieve a better fit. Once satisfied, click "Start" to continue.

LTX Studio will then split your story into scenes, including voiceovers and accompanying images for each shot. To edit shots, use the 'Shot Editor' button, allowing you to alter prompts or change shot types such as close-up, medium shot, and more. You can also modify camera angles and keyframes.

To customize the voiceover for your entire video, simply access the suitable option. After editing, click the "Share" button, followed by "Generate Videos" to create all video shots. Once the video is generated, you can download it as an MP4 file and preview it beforehand.

Quick Example

Here's a quick example of how a generated video may sound: "Hi, I'm Sergeant Snuggles, and I lead the best SWAT team in CuddleVille. It's a cozy town, but lately, things have been a little chaotic." Not bad for just five minutes of editing!

Cling AI

The final tool we will be covering is Cling AI, which offers both an AI image generator and an AI video generator. Through this tool, you can access text-to-video and image-to-video features.
