Introduction

Over the past three days, our group gathered for an enriching retreat aimed at achieving three essential objectives. Our first goal was to foster a warm, friendly environment that would allow old friends, including the couple Dad, Hambri Manopo, and our beloved Grace, to meet and connect after our virtual interactions. This face-to-face encounter deepens our bonds and creates a more intimate setting for discussion and collaboration.

The second aspect of our retreat revolved around experiencing the benefits of nature. Research indicates that being outdoors significantly boosts our happiness hormones, allowing us to relax more effectively. This atmosphere enhances our meditation and prayer practices, making them more profound and spiritually fulfilling.

The third and perhaps most critical aim was to deepen our understanding of writing techniques as taught by Mbak Oki. Throughout our sessions, we explored various writing styles, shared our works, and provided constructive feedback to one another. This process highlighted the importance of accepting criticism—as a creative community, we must be open to evaluations that challenge us.
