DIY Wedding Invitations on a Cricut (Free Templates!)
Hello, everybody! My name is Jennifer. Today, we are learning how to make wedding invitations on our Cricuts. About a month ago, my guy Greg asked me to marry him, and I said yes. Since then, I've been thinking about weddings and wondered if it was possible to use my Cricut to make beautiful wedding invitations.
After some research, I found that filigree laser-cut style invitations are perfect for cutting on a Cricut. These intricate cuts are amazing! You can buy templates on Etsy for anywhere from $ 2 to $ 25, but I love designing things myself. So I created an entire invitation set with swirly hearts, and I'm sharing it with you for free. Let's dive in and learn how to make these on your Cricut.
Materials You’ll Need
- Good Quality Paper: Shimmer cardstock is highly recommended. You can get it anywhere from 65-pound to 110-pound weight.
- Cricut Machine: Either a Cricut Explore or a Cricut Maker.
- Cutting and Scoring Tools: A fine-point blade and a scoring stylus or scoring wheel.
- Adhesives: Glue dots, tacky glue, and complementary colors of ribbon for assembly.
- Other Tools: Light grip mat, tape, and Cricut pens (if hand-lettering).
