EASY AI Text to Video Generator | Flexclip - Beginners tutorial
Science & Technology
Introduction
Hello everyone! In this article, I'm going to show you a brand new tool that I've been using lately for my video production called Flexclip. Flexclip is a full-scale video editor which allows you to complete your entire video editing process directly in the browser at Flexclip.com. I've included the link in the description below.
Recently, Flexclip introduced a plethora of AI tools such as AI Text to Video, Image Generator, Subtitle Generator, Video Script Generator, and many others. In this article, I'll give you a walkthrough of each of these tools. In future articles, I'll delve deeper into how you can use each tool effectively to generate content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and whatever platform you prefer.
Aside from these AI tools, if you visit flexclip.com/tools, you'll see that it provides a host of other editing tools typically available on local computer video editors. For instance, sometimes when I'm traveling and I don't have my main editing computer with me, I can use Flexclip to edit either a short or long video and upload it to the internet quickly. Flexclip's suite includes tools like a GIF generator, a video-to-GIF converter, a video collage maker, a motion graphics maker, and many others. I find the number of functionalities that Flexclip provides under one subscription to be quite impressive.
If this is your first time visiting my channel, welcome! I also recommend subscribing to my AI newsletter for more updates. Without further ado, let’s get started on exploring some of the AI tools available on Flexclip.
You can easily get started with Flexclip using a free account. I personally have a business plan and recommend it so that none of the videos you generate will have any Flexclip watermarks. To get started, click on the button labeled "Create a video." Here, you can choose the aspect ratio. If you're generating a video for TikTok or Instagram, you can select the 9:16 aspect ratio. Most of my videos are long-form YouTube content, so I usually go with a 16:9 aspect ratio. After selecting, click "Get Started."
You'll be greeted by a popup called "Import Media," where you can import any existing videos, images, or audio that you've recorded yourself, which can be used in the video editing process. In this walkthrough, I'll use AI to generate everything from scratch, so let's cancel this and go to "Tools."
Here, you'll find all the main options that Flexclip’s AI tools offer. The first option is "Text to Video." Clicking it reveals a prompt where you can describe the video content you want to generate or paste an article link. There’s also a "Use Examples" button which gives some ideas. For instance, I chose the example: "Generate a promo video for online yoga courses I'm about to teach." I chose a subtitle style and clicked "Generate."
Without advanced prompting, Flexclip generated a one-minute-and-38-seconds-long video, including script and background video. Watching the draft showed that it had selected various stock footage and background music matching the yoga theme. The video was a good starting point given that it was fully AI-generated.
If you need content from an existing article, Flexclip can also generate videos from web articles. I tested this feature with an article on the "seven most common types of Yoga" from Shape.com. After analyzing the article, Flexclip provided the essential content and generated a script and video based on it. The resultant video was two minutes and 18 seconds long with relevant stock footage. However, I had to do some adjustments to make it perfect.
For more precise content, you can use the "AI Video Script" tool. For example, if I wanted more details on Ashtanga Yoga, I'd enter a prompt like "Video script about the history of Ashtanga Yoga," set the duration to "short," and generate a script.
When stock footage doesn’t suffice, the "AI Image Generator" can help. For instance, a prompt like "colorful yoga on a mountain" generated realistic images, which I could easily add to my video scene.
To add narration, use the "AI Text to Speech" tool. This tool offers various voices in multiple languages—test voices Brandon and Emma were both quite realistic. A simple prompt like "It was a lovely day on the mountain, and I had to get my yoga mat and practice" generated narrations that could be downloaded and added to the video.
If you want branding, use the "Branding Tool" for consistent logos and text across your video. Additionally, the "Motion Text" tool can add dynamic text effects.
That wraps up our initial exploration of Flexclip's AI tools. If you enjoyed this article, like, subscribe to my channel and AI newsletter. More tutorials are coming soon. Thank you!
