Introduction
After completing a recording session on Squadcast, it's time to move the content to Descript for further editing. Here's a step-by-step guide to ensure a seamless transfer of your Squadcast recordings to Descript:
Access Your Squadcast Dashboard
- Return to your Squadcast dashboard.
Select the Recording
- Locate the recording you wish to transfer.
- Click on the arrow to expand details of this recording.
Choose the Take
- Identify the specific take you want to send to Descript.
- If you only started and stopped the recorder once, there will be only one take.
Export the Take
- Click the down arrow on the chosen take.
- Select whether to include all speakers or individually choose which tracks to export.
Initiate Workflow
- Click on the Workflow button that appears after selecting tracks.
- Choose ‘Edit in Descript’ from the provided options.
Select File Type
- Decide whether you want to send:
- The video (including audio and visual components), or
- Audio-only files in WAV or MP3 format.
- Decide whether you want to send:
Export to Descript
- Click to start the export.
- A new tab will open, prompting you to select a drive and folder where you want to store the project.
Create Project and Import Files
- Choose the drive and folder.
- Hit ‘Create Project’ and ‘Import Files’.
Edit in Descript
- The project will open in Descript.
- Edit the content as you would with any other project in Descript.
