Introduction

In this part four of my attempt to plus 10 my emblem Ike, I currently have him at plus five, which means I need five more copies to reach my goal. Throughout my summoning session, I want to talk about some characters I would love to see get new resplendent versions, starting with Olivia from Fire Emblem Awakening. Olivia is one of my favorite characters; her shy yet kind nature makes her genuinely endearing. I’d love to see her in a light fairy outfit, as I think her design would look fantastic in that aesthetic.

On the subject of resplendent outfits, I would also love to see Xander get a space-themed version. Given his relationship with Veronica in Book One of Fire Emblem Fates, this style would fit him perfectly. I think he would rock the emblem attire, especially considering his tragic fate in Birthright.

Similarly, I want Malana, Xander's child, to receive a resplendent version, but I suspect he might not follow in his mother's footsteps. We’ve yet to see a male character receive a fairy attire, which is unfortunate.

As I continue summoning, I can't help but wish for more defense-focused characters. It seems that every summer summon I make ends with me receiving additional defense units rather than attack or speed. Characters like Dimitri also come to mind when considering resplendent versions; post-time skip Dimitri could fit into either hell or emblem attire due to his character development throughout the game.

I’d also love to see Mist get a legendary version. She holds an important role in the Tellius saga, especially with her unique ability to handle the Medallion safely. This makes me wonder if it’s possible we might see a fallen version of Grail, especially since fallen Ike exists as a character in the game.

Meanwhile, I’m quite surprised we haven't gotten representation for characters like May. She was such a delightful character in Shadows of Valentia, and her current artwork doesn't capture her essence fully. Plus, there's still the promise of legendaries like Sakura or Leon who deserve more attention. Leon would definitely look good in a hell-themed outfit based on his character arc.

While summoning for my plus 10 Ike, I started noticing odd trends. For once, I got a plus speed variant, which is significant, but summoning cycles seem snagged on specific traits, leading to frustration. Also, there are certain characters that deserve more recognition. For instance, I believe Matilda from Shadows of Valentia deserves a resplendent version due to her complex character and fantastic gameplay mechanics.

As I venture deeper into these summons, it’s important to reflect on how character relationships play a key role in the Fire Emblem universe. Characters like Conrad and Celica showcase a deep and emotional connection that feels organic. This pattern can certainly be seen with other pairs and provides insight into the narratives of the games.
