FULL FACE OF TIKTOK VIRAL MAKEUP HACKS!

Hi Sisters! James Charles here, back with an exciting video to kick off 2023. After a brief break to strategize for the year and prepare for my brand launch in a few months, I'm back with a brand new video: a full face of makeup using only viral TikTok hacks. Grab a snack and a drink because things are about to get glam!

Introduction

If you're excited about the first video of 2023, make sure to hit that thumbs up button and subscribe to stay notified for all the exciting content coming this year.

SPF Hack: Whipped Sunscreen

Our first TikTok hack involves a unique product: whipped sunscreen by Vacation. Packaged like a can of whipped cream, it makes applying SPF a fun and memorable experience. Despite some initial challenges with the amount, it blends well and leaves the skin shiny and protected.

Contouring Hack: Underpainting

Our second hack is a contouring technique originally credited to legendary makeup artists Kevin Aucoin and Scott Barnes. This involves applying contour first, then concealer, and finally foundation. Using the Patrick Ta Cream Contour Palette and Juvia’s Place Magic Concealer, I experimented with this method to mixed results.

Foundation Hack: Meredith Duxbury's Hand Application

This viral hack involves applying foundation with your hands. Using Catrice HD Liquid Cover Foundation, I found the process to be messy and uncomfortable, and the results were not significantly better than using traditional tools.

Setting Powder Hack: Pink Powder

Next up is using pink setting powder instead of a regular translucent one. I experimented with Jordana Tisha Powder in the shade Flossy for a brightening effect. The pink powder did offer a nice touch but didn't significantly improve the overall look.

Blush Hack: W Formation

The W blush hack involves applying blush in a W-formation across the face. Using the Rare Beauty Liquid Blush, I tried it out but found the result to look more like a sunburn than a flattering blush.

Eyebrow Hack: Triangles

This hack suggests outlining your brows with triangles for an easier fill. Despite several attempts, the method proved more complicated and resulted in a less polished look compared to traditional eyebrow shaping.

Eyeshadow Hack: Eyelash Curler Technique

Using an eyelash curler to create a cut crease for eyeshadow sounded interesting but proved to be unnecessary and didn't offer any substantial benefits over traditional techniques.

Eyelash Hack: Bottom Lashes

Perhaps the craziest hack of the video was using bottom lashes and glue on the upper lash line. This method was difficult and didn't provide a noticeable improvement.

Freckle Hack: Air Cushion Technique

Using a freckle stamp from Amazon to create sun spots was painful due to the hard plastic applicator. Despite some initial success, the freckles looked too dark and unnatural.

Lip Contouring Hack: Inner Lining

The inner lining hack involves darkening the inner parts of your lips before applying lipstick. Despite trying to recreate the perfect plump lip look, I didn’t notice much difference from regular lip lining.

Final Thoughts

Many of these TikTok hacks promised to make makeup application easier but fell short. While the final look turned out okay, the process was more excruciating than helpful. It's often better to stick to tried-and-true methods and practice your skills rather than rely on trending hacks.
