Gear To Make Make Your Content Marketing Strategy Come To Life (TRUE STORY)

Education

Introduction

Hey everyone, Nick here! Today, I’m excited to share some insights into our content creation process, focusing on the gear we’re using and the types of content we’re producing. This article isn’t about product reviews; instead, it’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we craft our stories and connect with clients, entrepreneurs, and content lovers alike.

Our Content Strategy

Over the years, we’ve produced a wide range of content, thanks to the support from other consultants providing input and sharing their channels. As the strategist leading these efforts, I often shoot content daily using various cameras. Currently, you’re watching this video on our trusty Panasonic GH5s, which we consider our primary shooter. For this particular session, I'm also utilizing the G85 and the wide-angle 15mm f/1.7 lens, which is my second favorite lens.

Recently, we’ve upgraded our gear lineup by adding the Panasonic G7. This camera is light and compact, making it perfect for capturing candid moments without compromising on quality. The lens mounted on the G7 is a native 25mm Leica, which is my all-time favorite due to its excellent clarity and versatility.

Capturing Stories

In the realm of content creation, storytelling is paramount. Whether we’re working with a Fortune 100 company or a small team of entrepreneurs, the key is to capture moments effectively. This can be achieved with an iPhone, or high-end cameras like the ones we often use. We believe in using the right tools that fit our narrative and enhance our production, ensuring we can deliver impactful videos across various platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Vimeo.

As we aim to shoot a more extensive range of content, we’re embracing formats like live streaming and unscripted over-the-shoulder sessions. Our objective is to provide transparent insights into our processes without any selling gimmicks.

Behind-the-Scenes Insights

We’re keen to share more of our behind-the-scenes setup with you. This is my home office in Cincinnati where most of our shoots and client interactions occur. The G7 will serve as our go-to for wide shots, while the GH5s will handle our tighter shots with the 25mm lens. We also emphasize the importance of audio quality, as viewers can forgive less than perfect video but struggle with bad audio.

In this journey of upgrading our gear, we’re particularly focused on matching our technology to our storytelling needs. The goal is to efficiently capture content, whether it’s for corporate needs or personal projects.

Key Takeaways

To summarize, our gear choices include the G85, GH5s, and G7, paired with the appropriate lenses to facilitate diverse types of content creation. We plan to enhance our output by using these tools for informative, behind-the-scenes content sharing.
