Who you're seeing right now is not a real person. Runway has just dropped its most recent and advanced video generation model. It’s trained to produce photorealistic humans with gestures, expressions, and actions and understand a wide variety of cinematic styles and language.
One of my personal favorite videos was generated using the description: "over-the-shoulder shot of a woman running and watching a rocket in the distance." To me, this is within arm's reach of being indistinguishable from reality. Just take a look at their Gen-2 models; you can see a significant leap in realism. However, that's a gap that they've now nearly closed.
