Get Back to the Homepage on New Canva

Introduction

Navigating back to the Canva homepage in the new design interface can be slightly less intuitive compared to the old method of simply closing a tab. However, with a few clicks, you can efficiently return to your main dashboard.

To get back to the homepage, follow these steps:

1. Access the Burger Menu: At the top of the screen, you’ll find the burger menu (three horizontal lines). Click on it.
2. Home Shortcut: Once you click the burger menu, it will open a side panel. From there, select the home option.
3. Close the Design: Alternatively, if you want to close your current design and return to the homepage, just click the "close" button on the design screen's top. This will take you back to the main dashboard.

These shortcuts make navigating the new Canva interface easier once you get accustomed to them. The new design doesn't open each project in a new tab, so the homepage is always running in the background. This can take a while to get used to, but after a few weeks, it’ll likely become second nature.
