How I Create Viral Talking Avatar Using AI Tools - EASIEST WAY
Creating faceless avatars and animating them for video content can feel daunting, especially with the traditional reliance on expensive and complex software like Adobe After Effects. However, I’ve discovered a more straightforward, cost-effective method using AI tools, and I’m excited to share this process with you! Follow along as I take you through each step, comparing two styles and even revealing my personal workflow for creating these avatars.
Step 1: Generating Images with AI
First, you’ll need some images, and the power of AI can be incredibly handy here. Head over to Leonardo AI. Though you can use a free account, I’m demonstrating using a paid account that allows commercial use without attribution.
- Navigate to the image generation tab.
- Turn off the photorealistic mode.
- Set input dimensions to 1360 by 768 for higher resolution output.
- Select the style as anime.
- Set up a prompt for your desired image.
- Add a negative prompt to exclude elements that AI struggles with (e.g., “bad hands”).
- Set the image count to three per rendering.
- Hit the generate button twice for six sample images.
Review your generated images in the history tab. Download the one you prefer, especially the one where the character looks directly forward. Click to remix the prompt using the selected image and add a face mask to create a popular avatar style. Generate images again and download your preferred masked avatar.
Step 2: Animating Your Image Without a Mask
Now, let’s animate our image without a mask. Head over to HeyGen which is my favorite avatar tool. Here's how to start:
- Go to the Home tab and select 'Create Video' in landscape mode.
- Navigate to the 'Photo Avatar' tab and upload your image.
- Once uploaded, select your new avatar to add it to the canvas.
- Customize the script and choose an appropriate voice for your avatar.
Test the voiceover by hitting the play script button. Remember, the lips won’t move until after submission. Submit it for processing and wait for your animated avatar.
Step 3: Animating Your Image with a Mask
Repeat the animation process for the masked avatar. The steps are similar, and you should quickly get the hang of it. By the end, you’ll have both avatars ready for comparison.
Step 4: Comparing the Two Styles
Let’s compare the faceless avatar and the masked avatar. Which do you prefer? Drop me a comment to let me know.
Step 5: My Workflow
Thanks for sticking around! Here’s how I create my videos using templates in HeyGen:
- Start with the templates menu and click 'Create Template.'
- Select your avatar and remove the default script.
- Choose the voice and save the changes.
- For a smaller template, use the select frame button, choose the circular frame, and position it in the corner.
- Change the background color to green for easy editing.
- Save the template for future use.
Now you can input your script, test, and finalize your video. If you’ve found this guide helpful, please like, subscribe, and let me know what other content you’d like to see.
