Rachit Madan: My name is Rachit Madan and I am a performance marketer. We work in various verticals including lead generation, e-commerce, and sweepstakes which is one of our biggest.

The Start of Rachit’s Journey

Satish Bhai: When did you come into the affiliate marketing industry?

Rachit Madan: I started affiliate marketing in 2009. At that time, very few people were in affiliate marketing. I finished my engineering in 2009 and had a six-month gap before joining Infosys. During that gap, I started searching for ways to earn money online.

My first job involved posting links for a guy who paid me $ 1 a day for eight hours of work. Later, I met another person who paid me 10 cents per video I uploaded, earning around $ 100 a day. This job gave me some initial insights into making money online.

Exploring Different Verticals

After learning about content lockers and how to create them, I started working with CP Lead and other websites. Our earnings began small but grew with the help of community forums where people shared their strategies and success stories.

Scaling up in Affiliate Marketing

By the end of 2010, we comfortably made around $ 5,000 to $ 10,000 a day. Fast forward to today, we work on CPA (Cost Per Action) models and revenue share models in several verticals like life insurance, e-commerce, and sweepstakes.

Challenges and Opportunities

Every change and new algorithm introduced in online marketing is seen as an opportunity. For instance, back in 2014, we monetized games through in-app purchases. Initially, we found these tasks simple but as competition grew, we had to upgrade constantly and keep learning new things to stay ahead.
