How to Add Audio Over a Video on Kapwing

Science & Technology

Introduction

Adding music to your videos can be a great way to change up the pacing in your video and also keep people more engaged. I know that ever since I added dynamic music to my YouTube videos, I started getting a much higher retention which ultimately helped me grow because the YouTube algorithm really likes retention. So, if you want to build success on YouTube and you don't already use music in your videos, then you definitely need to start.

However, adding popular or trending songs often doesn't work for YouTube videos because a lot of them are copyrighted, and your video can get strikes, taken down, or demonetized. Today, I'm going to show you the easiest way to add music for free on top of your videos using Kapwing. I'll show you two methods:

  1. Using your own music.
  2. Using Kapwing's free audio library.
