In this easy-to-follow guide, I'll show you how to create quizzes from documents stored in your Google Drive, with the help of a ChatGPT plugin. These steps also work for documents on your local computer. In this tutorial, we'll use two different documents from my Google Drive to create quizzes.

Step 1: Creating a Blank Quiz

1. Go to Google Forms.
2. Click on New and select Google Forms.
3. Choose Blank Quiz and click Create.

Step 2: Installing the GPT Quiz Generator Add-on

1. Click on the three dots menu in the Google Form.
2. Scroll down to Get Add-ons.
3. Search for "GPT Quiz Generator" and hit enter.
4. Select the add-on and click Install.
5. Click Continue and select the Google account you want to use.
6. Click Allow and then Done. The add-on is now installed.

Step 3: Creating a Quiz from a Syllabus Document

1. Open the syllabus document from your Google Drive.
2. Select the text you want to base your quiz on and copy it.
3. Go back to your Google Form and click on the puzzle icon (add-on icon).
4. Select GPT Quiz Generator and click Start.
5. Paste the copied text into the text area.
6. Choose the type of questions (e.g., Multiple Choice).
7. Select the number of questions and multiple-choice options.
8. Set other preferences and click Generate Questions.
9. Wait for 1-3 minutes for the questions to generate.
10. Review and edit the questions as needed.
11. Click Add Questions to Form.
12. Configure the quiz settings through the Settings menu, then save your form.

Step 4: Creating a Quiz from an Article Document

1. Click on New in Google Forms and create another blank quiz.
2. Name it Article Quiz.
3. Access the GPT Quiz Generator add-on again.
4. This time, choose the option Load Text from Google Doc.
5. Select the document you want to use.
6. Review and clean up the loaded text as needed.
7. Choose the type of questions (e.g., Check Boxes).
8. Set your preferences and click Generate Questions.
9. Review the generated questions.
10. Click Add Questions to Form.
