How I Built My YouTube Intro

To illustrate this, let me show you how I built the intro you just watched.

Selecting and Editing Footage

First, I had my footage color-graded and ready to go. Footage is a crucial part of setting the tone and giving viewers a glimpse of what they can expect from your channel.

Adding Music

Next, I needed a catchy music track. Instead of the usual method of going on the internet and searching through Epidemic Sound, I now use Adobe Stock integrated within Premiere Pro. By clicking the Essential Sound panel, I can access Adobe Stock audio and search through Epidemic Sound’s tracks directly.

1. Search and Filter: I used Adobe Stock's filtering system to find the perfect track, narrowing down the search by tempo, duration, and mood. I also selected "No Vocals" since I wanted this to be a background track.
2. Drag and Drop: I found a song I liked and simply dragged it into my timeline.

Syncing Footage with Music

I made small adjustments to the footage, ensuring it matches the beats of the music for a cohesive look.

Incorporating Graphics

Lastly, I ended the intro with a graphic of my name. I browsed through the Adobe Stock graphics section, found one I liked, and dragged it into my timeline. I customized it by changing the font and colors to match my brand.

1. Customization: I left the colors as they were and chose a typewriter-like, thin, all-caps font for my name.
