How to make Animation Talking Ai Cartoon Characters Using Leonardo Part 1

Introduction

Creating animated characters has never been easier, thanks to advancements in AI tools. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to create your very own Disney-style animated characters using Leonardo AI and other free tools. Let’s dive right in!

Step 1: Generate Your Disney Characters in Leonardo AI

Open your web browser and navigate to the Leonardo AI website.
If you don’t have an account, click on the “Sign Up” or “Create Account” button on the home page.
Follow the instructions to create a new account or simply sign in with your Google email.
Once you're logged in, you can start crafting your animated characters. You have the option to use models available on the platform or tap into other users' creations.
For this tutorial, I utilized a user-generated creation as a base to design two adorable 3D Disney characters.
As you can see, these charming little creatures are ready to shine!

After finalizing your characters, be sure to hit the Download button to save them.

Step 2: Create Videos for Your 3D Disney Characters

Next, we’ll head over to d-id.com and log in using your Google account; choose the free trial option.
Upload your first 3D Disney animated character.
Copy and paste your script into the text box provided.
Select a fitting voice for your character from the options in the bottom right corner.
Once satisfied, click on Generate Video.
Repeat the same steps for your second character.

Now you have animated videos of your characters ready to go!

Step 3: Tying Everything Together

Navigate to Canva to upload your talking 3D Disney characters alongside a backdrop.
You can create your own backdrop in Leonardo AI or find one in Canva’s library. For this tutorial, I’m using a backdrop I previously created with Leonardo AI to maintain consistency.
After uploading, drag your background into a chosen template.
Position your characters within the scene.
Use Canva’s Background Remover feature to eliminate your character’s background with just one click.
Finally, resize your 3D Disney characters to fit within the entire scene, and voilà! You have a completed masterpiece brought to life in a magical 3D animation world.
