How To Make Picture Talking Video — Speak In Your Language And Same Voice

Since my last video about making JPEG or PNG images talk in a video, featuring Tiwa Savage, I've received many questions about using different voices or your own voice for this purpose. This step-by-step guide will show you how to do that using any laptop, regardless of its configuration. Follow along, and you'll learn to make any image speak any language with your voice or any other voice.

The first thing you need to do is open your browser and navigate to did.com. If you don’t have an account, sign up; otherwise, log in. Once logged in, click on Create Video. If you haven’t made any payments, it will prompt you to do so. I had to upgrade my account because my previous units were exhausted.

After upgrading, head over to the Script section. Note that DID.com allows you to upload your own voice. Let's proceed with uploading a picture and audio to create a talking image.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Upload Your Image:

    • Make sure your image is less than 10 MB. If it fails to upload, try converting it to a PNG format using Photoshop or another tool.
      # if using Photoshop
File > Save As > PNG

    • Upload the PNG. If there are still issues, resize the image and save again.
  2. Upload Your Audio:

    • Click on Upload Audio to add a pre-recorded voice clip.
    • You can use any language or any dialect. Here’s an example of an audio clip in broken English:
"Watch this, I don't need all this talk. Don't make us Nigerian problems increase. Everything is just adding to the cost daily. What we used to buy at 8,000 Naira is now 55K. Things are not just okay in this country. I am vexed. We are all in this together, no shaking."

  3. **Generate the Video:**

    • After uploading your image and audio, click Generate Video. Depending on your account tier, it will cost some credits.

Handling Issues

While using the site, I faced some issues with payment and crediting my account. If the same happens to you, follow these steps:

  1. Retry Payment:
    • If your card is declined, try using the Pay with Link option.
  2. Customer Support:
    • If payment goes through, but your account isn't credited, send an email to their support team with details of your transaction.

Example

Here's an example of another image and audio to see if the software correctly mimics the voice:

LET ME TELL YOU A SIMPLE FACT. Our nation is facing challenges! Everything's just adding up in cost. You buy at 8,000 Naira, becomes 55K the next. We're all in this. No shaking.
