How to Use Opus Clip on Mobile Devices

Entertainment

Introduction

If you're looking to create engaging clips from your videos on the go, Opus Clip is a fantastic tool that allows you to do just that. This guide will walk you through the process of using Opus Clip on mobile devices in a straightforward way.

Step 1: Sign Up for Opus Clip

To get started, navigate to the link provided in the description. This will direct you to the Opus Clip website, where you'll need to create a free account. Fret not, as it’s a free trial! Simply click on the “Sign Up” button located in the upper right corner and choose your preferred method of login, either through Google or Facebook.

Once logged in, a prompt will appear that explains how to use the tool, but we’ll cover everything you need to know in this guide.

Now that you have your account set up, it’s time to upload the video you want to use. Look for the box that says "drop a Zoom link, drop a Twitch link, a YouTube link, etc." You’ll need to copy the link of the video you want to convert into clips.

For example, I’ll visit my YouTube channel, 3D Print Dude, and copy the link to one of my videos. Once I have the link, I’ll paste it back into the designated box on Opus Clip.

Give Opus Clip a moment to analyze the video. Once done, you can scroll down to customize your clipping settings, such as clip length between 30 seconds and 59 seconds—this format is perfect for YouTube Shorts, which have a maximum duration of 60 seconds.

I usually keep the genre setting on “auto” for optimal performance. Next, you can select a caption template; I personally prefer the “karaoke” setting as it provides visually appealing captions.

Once everything is set, click the “Get Clips in One Click” button. You can then close the prompt, and you will see an estimated processing time displayed on your dashboard (usually around 5 minutes). You’ll receive an email notification once your clips are ready.

Step 3: Reviewing and Publishing Clips

After receiving the email, head back to your Opus Clip dashboard. You can scroll down to view and play the generated clips. For example, I have eight clips created from a four-minute video.

If you're pleased with any of the clips, you can proceed to publish them directly on social media by attaching your profiles. Opus Clip also features a handy scheduler, allowing you to post clips at specific times—ideal for maintaining a consistent online presence.

If needed, you can download clips directly to your phone and upload them manually onto your social media accounts. While you can't edit clips on mobile, Opus Clip offers robust editing tools on desktop, which allow you to change captions, add b-roll, zoom in and out, and much more.

In summary, Opus Clip is an incredible tool for easily creating video content, whether on your phone or desktop. Consider signing up through the affiliate link in the description for access to this powerful resource.
