How to Use Thinkorswim Sharing Links - Thinkscript Installation Tutorial
Today, I wanted to do a quick tutorial to show you how to use Thinkorswim’s sharing or import links. This is particularly useful if you’ve purchased any scripts from our website. We deliver these scripts via Thinkorswim import links. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use these links, ensuring you’re familiar with them.
Importing a Scan
Getting the Link:
- You’ll receive links that look like this:

Direct Import:
- In some browsers, you can simply click the link, and Thinkorswim will automatically import it. A confirmation page will appear; click confirm to complete the import.
Alternate Import Method:
- If the direct import doesn’t work due to browser security features, you can use an alternate method:
- Copy the link.
- Go to the Thinkorswim platform.
- Click on the
Setup
menu in the top right corner. - Select
Open Shared Item
. - Paste the link.
- Click
Preview
, thenOpen
. - Rename the scan if needed.
- Exit the separate window and load the scan from the
Load scan query
menu.

Importing a Custom Column
Getting and Copying the Link:

shortcut or menu option. - Search for your new indicator and add it to your chart.

- Copy the strategy link provided.
