But what would happen if you turned to ChatGPT to help you write your next story? In this article, I'll teach you step by step how to use ChatGPT to write the amazing story you've always wanted. Not only that, but I will literally tell you exactly what to input into ChatGPT to get the best results and shock everybody you know with your next story. Step 1: Choose the Genre and Theme

Before asking ChatGPT for anything, we must choose the genre and theme. This will help your story have a sense of direction. For example, if you are interested in writing a romance manga, you might want to consider themes such as childhood friends or first love. On the other hand, if you're interested in writing a horror manga, themes such as monsters and creatures or survival might be a better fit.

If you have something in mind, that's great. But if you don't and want to have some new ideas, you can simply ask ChatGPT for a list of all manga genres and themes. Basically, type in: give me a list of all manga genres and give me three themes for every genre.

Step 2: Generate Short Descriptions

Let ChatGPT generate multiple short descriptions about the genre and theme you chose. Now that you have a genre and a theme, all you have to do is type in: write me a short description of a [desired genre] story with [desired theme].

For example: write me a short description of a romance story with a childhood friends theme. If you don't like what ChatGPT generated, you can simply ask for another one. Once you have a general idea of the story, it's time to get serious.

Step 3: Develop Your Story

Step 3 is all about developing your story and making it more interesting. Here are a few things you can ask ChatGPT to do:

  • Can you generate a plot twist for my manga story?
  • Can you add more characters?
  • Can you make the story more unique?
  • Can you give this character more character development?
  • What fears does this character have?
  • Give me some ideas for the outfit of this character.

The list goes on and on; you can literally ask for anything you want.

Step 4: Refine Until Satisfied

Simply repeat Steps 2 and 3 until you are satisfied. At the end of this step, ask ChatGPT to write a long, detailed description of the whole story. You can simply type in: generate all the new ideas and changes into one long detailed description of the story.

Step 5: Transform Into a Script

The final step is to transform this manga story description into a real manga script with dialogues so you can make a storyboard out of it. Open a new ChatGPT session, copy the description you had into ChatGPT, and make sure to put it into brackets. Then ask: write a detailed manga script with all the dialogues for the characters.

And there you have it—a complete manga script generated by ChatGPT. Now you can finally start working on the storyboard and drawings without thinking about the story at all.
