I Forced AI to Remake More Anime Openings!

    blog thumbnail

    Introduction

Hello fellow anime enjoyers! Today, we’re diving into the highly anticipated part two of my most watched video, which boasts over 30,000 views. Thank you so much for the overwhelming support! It means a lot to me. I’ve received numerous suggestions for this video, and while I can’t do them all, I’m excited to explore a selection of them. Who knows, maybe if we hit 500 likes, I’ll get inspired to create a part three!

We’re kicking things off with the iconic anime, Death Note. Many of you requested this gem, and here we are! Some advised me to use udio, but after giving it another shot, I personally didn’t enjoy it as much. For those interested in what I generated last time, be sure to check out my previous episode.

Let’s get started with the first version of the Death Note opening.

    Death Note Opening (Version 1)

Right away, I appreciated the card progression in the song, but the robotic voice could definitely use a human touch. This structure, sung by a person instead of AI, would elevate it immensely. However, I did enjoy the bass; although, this wouldn’t quite fit as a Death Note opening at all. The song took a surprising turn at the end and lost the initial vibe. Overall, I’d rate this version a 7.5 out of 10.

    Death Note Opening (Version 2)

The second version felt very much like a generic anime J-rock opening, which didn’t impress me. Although there were bits I liked, such as the closing section, it just didn’t hit right. I’d give this one a 5 out of 10.

    Mob Psycho Opening Suggestions

Next up, I’m diving into Mob Psycho, thanks to a suggestion from cheese grer 05. I decided to go for a crazy twist with a techno theme. Let’s see what I’ve brewed up!

Mob Psycho - Techno (Version 1)

Right off the bat, this one goes hard! The energy is infectious, and I loved the punchy second verse. I’d give this version a solid 8.5 out of 10.

Mob Psycho - Techno (Version 2)

As for the second version, the intro got me excited, but I felt it fumbled a bit in the end with a drop that didn’t quite deliver. Nonetheless, it was still decent, and I’d rate it 7.5 out of 10.

    Demon Slayer: Zeno Sanka

One of the biggest surprises was receiving a comment from Rene, a channel I’ve admired for quite some time. He suggested Demon Slayer’s Zeno Sanka, one of my personal favorite openings. With excitement, I approached this one with a drum and bass theme.

Demon Slayer - Drum and Bass (Version 1)

The track started off strong, but unfortunately, the beat felt underwhelming for a drum and bass song. While I enjoyed the instrumental parts and the beginning, I’d rate this one a 6.5 out of 10.

Demon Slayer - Drum and Bass (Version 2)

This version felt very similar to the first, with an improvement in the beat. Yet, the chorus was overwhelming and took away from the overall experience. It earns a 6.5 as well.

    Yokai Watch English Opening

For some laughs, I decided to tackle an English opening, specifically from Yokai Watch, even though I’ve never watched it myself. I’m curious how AI would handle the duet parts.

After processing, it came out chaotic yet interesting, and I found the outro more enjoyable than the whole song. This version was more consistent and loyal to its original, leading me to rate it a 7.5 out of 10 while the first one gets a 6 out of 10.

    One Punch Man Openings

Lastly, let’s look into One Punch Man. Despite its comedic roots, I was hoping for something a little darker from the AI.

One Punch Man - Opening (Version 1)

Sadly, this version didn’t deliver what I expected, leading me to give it a 4 out of 10.

One Punch Man - Opening (Version 2)

The second entry was an improvement considering it incorporated piano and violin, giving it a melancholic tone that resonated. I’d give it a 6 out of 10 for these redeeming qualities.

It’s clear that AI still has a long way to go when it comes to capturing the essence of our beloved anime openings. Thank you for all your suggestions, and feel free to give me more ideas! If this video garners enough support, I might even consider doing a part three. In the meantime, be sure to check out some of my other hilarious content, and don’t forget to subscribe!
