Luma DREAM MACHINE - AI Video Generator (FULL GUIDE)
In this video, I will show you how you can use Luma AI to create videos from text and images and give you my secret prompt formula which I use to get the exact results that I want.
Step 1: Access Luma AI
First, we need to go to Google and search for Luma Dream Machine. Click on the first search result. Now we are at the Luma dashboard. To get started, sign up by clicking on the "Try Now" button to create your account.
Step 2: Understanding the Dashboard
Once our account is created, we are brought to the generation tab. This is the prompt bar where we type our prompts to generate the videos. To the left of the prompt bar is the image icon where we can upload an image as a guide for Our Generation. Under the prompt bar, there is the idea generator where the AI generates a random prompt, which we can choose to use.
Step 3: Creating a Video
Let's make our first generation:
- Prompt: Korean girl standing in a big Metropolitan City, realistic, camera stays still
This prompt follows a secret formula designed to give you the best results possible. The formula includes:
- Main Character: Description of how you want your character to look. Example: Korean girl.
- Background: Description of the background. Example: big Metropolitan City.
- Style of Generation: Examples include realistic, anime, etc. I chose realistic style.
- Camera Movement: Prompt the camera to go in the direction you want. Example: camera stays still.
Step 4: Adjusting Settings
Uncheck the "enhance prompt" box. When this box is checked, the AI often does unrelated things. So, for more focused generations, we need to uncheck it. Now click on "generate."
Review the Result
After generating, review the video. As you can see, the AI did exactly what we prompted:
- Created an Asian girl in a metropolitan city with a realistic style.
- The camera stands still and focuses on her.
Step 5: Extending the Video
You can extend your generated video by clicking on the "extend" button and typing what you want to see in the next seconds of the video. Click on "generate" to apply.
Step 6: Downloading the Video
Download the video by clicking on the "download" button and saving it to your PC.
Additional Examples
Here are more examples:
- Descriptive Prompt: An Asian girl with medium-length hair walking on the street, blend of realistic and anime, camera focuses on her and moves with her. This generation followed the prompt perfectly and created an amazing video.
Step 7: Using an Image as a Guide
Let's generate a video using an image as a guide:
- Upload: Click on the image button and upload the desired image (e.g., a polar bear).
- Prompt: The formula changes to describe the movement and camera movement. Example: Make the polar bear walk, camera focused on the bear.
- Generate: Uncheck "enhance prompt" and click on "generate." The result showed a natural walking pattern and focused camera as prompted.
Conclusion
Following these steps will help you effectively use Luma AI to generate videos from text and images.
