Greetings everyone and welcome back to Mist Survival! It’s the morning of Day 25, just after 7 a.m., and we’re embarking on another exciting adventure. Today's mission is to locate and take down the notorious Bandit Boss. We may even get a chance to test out the minigun along the way. However, I’ve noticed that it appears the minigun isn’t loaded, meaning it essentially uses ammunition from our inventory. I currently have 143 rounds—100 were acquired upon obtaining the minigun, and another 43 were looted from enemies. I’m optimistic that we can acquire more ammo by taking down some Bandits in the process.
After considering locations, I believe the Bandit Boss is likely hiding in the central base—the larger one we cleared out previously. However, it seems that the boss’s location can change. One of my viewers mentioned they encountered him at the survivor’s camp near where we previously rescued Leo. This camp, known as Carol's Camp, will be our starting point for the search.
Since an update was rolled out this morning, I’ve heard that Scott can now be useful if we give him the right equipment. Although he's limited to using a couple of weapons, one of them is the G17—lucky for me, I have two of them in my inventory. Moreover, Scott will also utilize a machete, so I plan on arming him up as we head out.
Before leaving, I check on Leo and give Scott everything he needs. Now that he’s fully stocked, I tell him to follow me, and we head toward the survivor’s camp.
Upon reaching the camp, we spot a figure in the distance with a large shield—could that be the Bandit Boss? I speculate there might also be a sniper hidden in the tower. Careful not to confront them directly, I position the vehicle for a strategic attack.
With the engine off and adrenaline pumping, I exit the vehicle and start taking shots. My objective is to eliminate the sniper first. Fortunately, Scott appears to be doing a great job assisting. I even switch to the flamethrower for some added flair, and it seems Scott's aiming and firepower have improved significantly. Together we manage to take down the Bandit Boss, who surprisingly drops minimal loot.
Having bested the camp, I gather what little gear the Bandits left behind—some bullets, a suppressor, and a can of soda. Of interest, I note that we have an abundance of shotgun shells, which is always a plus.
With the Bandit Boss defeated, and equipped with new knowledge that Scott can be useful, I decide to explore the new tunnel opening to uncover what lies beyond. As we navigate through, the fog envelops our surroundings, creating an eerie yet enticing atmosphere. Upon reaching the other side, we find a seemingly misty ghost town, where we encounter various retail and commercial buildings.
From pizza shops to hunting gear stores, this new area appears rich with potential loot, although I am cautious as Scott's tendency to teleport can cause some hiccups. At a glance, it seems that the current state of this town is only a work in progress, with many buildings possibly non-functional for now.
We search several establishments—a bakery, a post office, and even a motel—all adding to the mystery of this ghost town. With many boarded-up buildings and limited music, it feels incomplete, but I can't help but feel a tinge of excitement for future updates.
After a thorough exploration and knowing I’ve filled my inventory (with a particularly prized find being a pool table), I decide it’s time to head back home. Testing the limits of the tunnel, I manage to bring the pool table along for the ride.
Once back, I face the challenge of placing the new addition into my garage, seemingly stuck between carry and place modes. Nevertheless, it’s a memorable addition to my home base.
To wrap up this episode, while we’ve accomplished a lot today, I do feel that the game could benefit from a quicker pacing in updates. The ghost town is intriguing; however, there’s still a long way to go before it feels fully fleshed out.
Until next time, remember to enjoy your gaming adventures!
