Noise Reduction in Amateur Radio With AI!
Heavy band noise is a problem faced by all radio mates operating from the cities and some from rural areas as well. There is a huge and ever-increasing list of sources for radio frequency interference at home and outside. Earlier, I had discussed about QRM elimination through antenna facing and noise cancellation. A few days back, I saw a post on QR Forum about the use of artificial intelligence for noise reduction. Later, I heard one VU friend mentioning about it on the air as well. He was experiencing a delay of a few milliseconds in reception when the cloud-based AI program known as ARMM Noise was being used.
