Welcome to the Pictory AI tutorial! In this article, I will guide you through the features offered by Pictory, explaining each process step-by-step. Getting Started with Pictory
Once you've signed up or logged in, you will see your dashboard featuring four main options:
- Script to Video
- Blog to Video
- Edit Videos with AI
- Visuals to Video
Let's start with the Script to Video option.
Script to Video
For our project, I chose the topic “Top Three Places to Travel.” First, copy and paste your script into the designated area, preferably spacing it out for better readability, which allows Pictory to create more scenes. After finalizing your script, click "Proceed."
After about 30 seconds, you'll be taken to the storyboard. Here, you can edit your video created from your script. You'll find your scenes listed on the left side, totaling 15 scenes you can customize.
To edit a scene, click on it. You’ll see pre-made subtitles and a background. You can modify the text attributes such as font, size, color, and effects like animations. Saving your edits as a style or applying them to all scenes can save time and maintain consistency.
To change the background image for any scene, navigate to the visuals section to search for relevant images, or upload your own. The timeline at the bottom allows you to add transitions between scenes.
For audio, choose from over 15,000 tracks, or add your custom background music and voiceovers. If you’d like to utilize Pictory's Premium voices, be aware that this requires a paid plan.
To further personalize your video, you can create a brand for consistent branding elements. There’s also an Elements tab for adding graphics, stickers, or emojis to enhance your video.
Finally, you can select the format (landscape, portrait, square) and resolution of your video. Once satisfied, simply click "Download" to process and save your final video.
Blog to Video
You can also convert articles or blog posts into videos by entering an article URL into the Blog to Video section. Pictory generates a summarized script for you. You can adjust and reorder your scenes before proceeding to storyboard editing, just like the Script to Video feature.
Edit Videos with AI
In the Edit Videos with AI section, you can drag and drop video files to edit them. While my preference is to use the storyboard method for ease of editing, you can still access the customizable video options.
Visuals to Video
This feature allows you to create engaging slideshows by uploading images. Arrange your photos as desired, then click proceed to enter the editing stage, similar to previous features.
