Premiere Pro vs DaVinci Resolve ??#videoediting

Many of you have been asking whether I'm editing with solid-state drives, and the answer is yes. For my projects, I primarily use Samsung 970 or 990 Pros. Using these SSDs has significantly improved my workflow compared to traditional hard drives.

Recently, I experimented with editing in DaVinci Resolve for the first time. The experience had its ups and downs. Unlike Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve did not suffer from lag issues when starting and stopping playback. However, there were moments when the video would play smoothly, but the audio would fall behind, which was quite perplexing.

I decided to revisit Premiere Pro to continue an existing project. To my surprise, I did not encounter the usual lag issues that had previously hindered my work. This led me to hypothesize that the problems might be linked to specific video clips or audio files.

Regardless of these setbacks, I am now capable of video editing in both Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve without creating any proxies—a task that was nearly impossible for me before.
