Introduction

Hello, audiobook lovers! My name is Sensen, and I am one of the dubbers at Audio Tune, hailing from Jepara City in Central Java. I would like to share my journey in the world of audiobook creation, which began in June 2020.

It all started with my curiosity after listening to audiobooks narrated by senior DPR members. This curiosity transformed into a strong desire to become a dubber myself. To pursue this dream, I participated in the recruitment audition held by Audio Tune in West Java, where I recorded a selected novel. I chose to record “Used If It's Young,” though I felt hopeless at the time due to my lack of experience in this field.

Surprisingly, I passed and became one of the dubbers at Audio Tune. As I embarked on my journey, I sensed many shortcomings in my initial recordings. I experienced nervousness and faced challenges with intonation and differentiating between narration and dialogue. However, I was determined to improve and sought feedback from senior dubbers to refine my craft.

Learning different intonations for each character became essential, allowing listeners to feel distinct personalities within the novels. With each recording, my nervousness diminished, and I strived to bring the novels to life with emotion. I worked on capturing various atmospheres, be it sad, happy, or tense.

One of the most engaging novels I recorded was "The Mafia's Twin Children" by Ponira. The story revolves around a pair of super-gifted twins born from an unexpected encounter, which weaves a thrilling narrative filled with intrigue. A notable highlight for me was when one twin, an IT expert, attempted to uncover their father's identity, leading to a clash between father and son. The pinnacle of conflict in the story, where the main character confronts the antagonist while trying to rescue his kidnapped wife, was particularly riveting. It encapsulated a range of emotions: anger, tension, and sadness, especially considering the children’s longing for their mother.

Personally, I tend to feel melancholic, which has made some of my sad narrations evoke real tears. It's a source of pride for me to receive positive feedback from listeners who appreciate my work and voice. Their encouragement motivates me to keep striving for excellence.
