Random Poetry Generator 1
Just a completely random thought: I searched for "poem poetry generator" on Google. Unsurprisingly, there's a webpage for it, as the internet has a webpage for almost anything you can think of. I found a poem generator page and decided to give it a go.
The website claims you can write an entire poem in less than a minute. I selected the "love poem" option, which involves describing someone special using a few simple words. The generator then crafts a poem for you. I have never used this website before, so I was curious about the outcome.
First, the generator asked for something beautiful. I typed "sunset." Next, it wanted a noun, so I put "sunset" again. For an adjective describing the person, I chose "gentle." An adjective for that person's eyes? Initially, I thought of "big and blue," but it seemed too basic. After some contemplation, I chose "emerald." For hair, I went with "lush," though it's a bit vague. For legs, I chose "athletic," and for arms, "soft." I described their smile as "captivating."
Here's the summarized input:
- A beautiful noun: sunset
- Adjective to describe the person: gentle
- Adjective for eyes: emerald
- Adjective for hair: lush
- Adjective for legs: athletic
- Adjective for arms: soft
- Adjective for smile: captivating
- Pen name: Sem Priest
Then, I clicked to generate the poem:
"For my gentle sunset" by Sem Priest
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Your swell is gentle,
And so are you.
Orchids are white,
Ghost ones are rare,
My garden is lush,
And so is your hair.
Magnolia grows,
With buds like eggs,
Sports are athletic,
And so are your legs.
Sunflowers reach,
Up to the skies,
My light is emerald,
And so are your eyes.
Foxgloves in hedges,
Surround the farms,
Parts are soft,
And so are your arms.
Daisies are pretty,
Daffys have style,
A style is captivating,
And so is your smile.
A sunset is beautiful,
Just like you.
The poem is comprised of six quatrains (four-line stanzas) and concludes with a couplet (two-line stanza). While it doesn’t contain my favorite rhyming couplet ending, it was a fun experiment. I even considered sending this poem to the person I had in mind to see if they could distinguish it from poems I've actually written myself. That would be an interesting test.
If you find this intriguing, let me know in the comments. We could dive into other forms of poems available on the generator, like haiku or rhyming couplets, in future videos. If you're interested in more random internet explorations, we could do that too. Thanks for watching, and see you next time!
