Today, I'll show you how you can make them yourself for free on your local computer.

This guide is part two of my voice cloning video with RVC. If you don't know what RVC is or how to install it, you need to watch that first or use my web click installer. If you're one of my Patreon supporters, download the installer onto your computer, double-click on it, and after a few minutes, the webui will launch automatically, ready to be used.

Steps to Create AI Voice Covers

Step 1: Find the Music

To avoid copyright issues on YouTube, I'll use old public domain music for this example. But obviously, you can choose any music you like; the principle is the same. Once we get our audio file, we can start having some fun.

Step 2: Separate Vocals from Music

You can either use online services like vocalremover.org or X-Minus.pro to separate the vocals and instruments, or you can use the built-in tool in RVC.

Choose the model - I recommend using the "weird hp5" model. Specify the output folder, choose the export file format (WAV), and click convert. After a few seconds, the separation will be done.

Step 3: Convert Vocals into a New Voice

For conversion, you can train your own voice model or download pre-trained models from websites like voicemodels.com. For example, if you want Plankton from SpongeBob, download the model and extract the files.

Go back to the RVC webui, click refresh voice list in the index path, and choose the model you just downloaded. Set the transpose value based on the conversion (e.g., -12 for a deep male voice). Paste the path of the separated vocal file, leave auto index path as default, and set other parameters as needed, then click convert.

Step 4: Merge Instrumental and New Vocals

Use any editing software like Audacity to merge the two files. Drag and drop both the instrument and converted vocal files into Audacity. Adjust volume if necessary using the amplify effect. Once satisfied, export the final mix as a WAV file.

Finally, you can use your new AI song cover for YouTube, projects, or just for fun. Enjoy making AI covers and, most importantly, have fun!
