Search Audio and Video Content using AI

Hey everyone, Vivek here! I share useful AI tools on this channel, and today I'm going to cover AI-powered search engines that let you find moments in audio and video collections.

Context

First up on my list is Context. This platform has a large library where they have already indexed several podcasts and YouTube channels. For example, if you wanted to find when the word "Lamborghini" was spoken in a Mysteries video, you could just search for it, and it would give you a ton of results. Clicking on a result will open the video in a new tab at the exact moment the phrase was spoken.

Example: You search for "Lamborghini" and get multiple results. Clicking a result opens the video where the word is mentioned.

While Context has a robust library, it's not always up-to-date. For instance, in the podcast "My First Million," one of the hosts mentions "machine gun" in a recent episode, but this isn't indexed yet.

AnyPod

Another platform doing something similar is AnyPod. They are building search engines for creators, with a noticeable difference in their filtering. For example, searching for "machine gun" gives you results but also includes partial matches where either "machine" or "gun" is mentioned separately.

Example: A search for "machine gun" results in cases where the words "machine" or "gun" appear separately, in addition to the combined phrase.

Both platforms, Context and AnyPod, allow you to index your own content. For Context, you can submit your YouTube playlist link, give it a title, and pay for the service. AnyPod requires you to fill out an Airtable form, which is likely a paid service as well.

Explode AI

Another platform is Explode AI. This service allows you to search within specific events, such as a "Tesla earnings call," or by multiple criteria like combining "desktopm" and "MKBHD" for "iPhone."

Example: You can search for "Tesla event" or combine "desktopm" and "MKBHD" for results on "iPhone."

These platforms are useful for anyone interested in finding specific moments in audio and video content. You can find them listed on Futurepedia, and I'll put the link in the description below.
