I tried a new place, and they look good in person, but close-up, there's a gap. Can you see it? Anyway, today’s episode is all about settling into my new apartment. We’ll be decorating in different rooms, hitting up stores, and buying décor to give this apartment personality. Who's excited? Let’s get into it!

Shopping Trip

Currently in my car, we're heading out for some apartment decoration shopping. I really want to go to H&M Home, which is in South Center, and maybe get some boba. My boyfriend thinks we don’t need more stuff, but I disagree. We haven’t bought much new stuff for this apartment yet. We'll hit up HomeGoods next time, but today it's H&M Home and Urban Outfitters. Let's go!

Getting Ready & Initial Tour

Another day, another week in this vlog. I’m currently getting ready to hang out with a friend but thought I’d show you what the apartment looks like before we vamp things up. I wanted this moving experience to be exciting rather than stressful. The new place is entirely different in layout and color scheme, so we need new décor. Didn't find much at the mall, so I’ve been looking online, especially on Amazon.

Bedroom and Organization

Let's dive into the space. My bedroom is darker after 3:30 PM, but it’s cozy. Recently, my boyfriend made a Lego display, and we keep it decluttered. Our dog’s bed is here, and the crate is outside at night. My closet is huge, way more organized than my last apartment. I have drawers for my clothes and a rack for all my bags. Isn’t it nice?

Kitchen and Living Room

The kitchen and living room are the heart of the apartment. We eat at a table near the windows, and I usually watch Netflix while eating (bad habit, I know). It’s a mess right now, but organized overall. We have a shoe shelf, laundry area, and a dog area all set up.

The living room is where I need ideas. I got this lovely plant but the pot doesn't match the aesthetic. I’ll give it to my mom. The living room has a simple, minimal vibe and I’m planning to add some posters.

Décor and Art Prints

Excited to show you what I’ve bought. I got a floral diffuser from Muji and two different art prints from Etsy; one says "Current State of Mind." The aesthetic is light and minimal, perfectly matching the apartment. I bought frames from Amazon to put these up and can't wait to show you the final look.

Final Touches and Conclusion

We added some final touches with diffusers and new rugs. The space looks and feels so much cozier now. It’s peaceful and relaxing, unlike the hustle and bustle of the city. I feel at ease and enjoy spending time here.
