Introduction
Welcome back to my channel! I am excited to share valuable knowledge with you. In today’s video tutorial, we'll explore how to create consistent characters using the Canva Magic AI platform. This technique is perfect for your favorite comic design projects and can help you earn extra income!
Getting Started
First things first, you’ll need to access Canva and ensure that you have a Canva Pro account to utilize the Magic AI's photo creation function. Don’t worry; I’ll be regularly updating the Canva Pro trial link in the description below. If you haven’t done so already, please subscribe to the channel to receive timely updates.
Once you’re set, navigate to Magic Studio—Canva’s AI platform. Upon entering, you’ll notice an array of features. For today’s tutorial, we’ll focus on the text-to-image section, which enables us to create images using text prompts.
Exploring Magic Media
As you can see, within Magic Studio, there’s an application labeled Magic Media. Here’s a quick overview of the interface:
- Image: This section will be our primary focus.
- Graphic: Not directly relevant for today’s post.
- Video: Also not our aim this time.
In the image section, you can enter prompts that guide the AI in crafting images from text descriptions, similar to other AI platforms. Additionally, there are various image styles available for you to select from. Make sure you also set the frame size and ratio for your created images.
Practical Application
Let’s dive into a practical exercise using Magic Media! To illustrate, I’ll craft a character named Mina, who is a 9-year-old girl wearing a pink dress in a cartoon style. Here’s the prompt I'm using:
Create a character named Mina, 9 years old, wearing a pink dress, in cartoon style.
Make sure to set a seed number for the character, which helps maintain consistency in future images. Now, I’ll enter this prompt into Magic Media.
The first result looks fantastic, but we’ll place it outside the frame for our review. To ensure the consistency of subsequent images, we’ll implement an identifier for Mina, our character. Only the keywords related to her actions and emotions will change in the following prompts.
I’ve prepared a list of popular keywords. With this, I’ll formulate a new prompt.
(Insert new prompt here.)
Upon inputting this new prompt, here’s the result I acquired—pretty amazing, right? The character consistency is commendable!
Iterating with Action Keywords
Next, I’ll experiment with various action keywords individually. I invite you to follow along as I unveil the results.
(Show results here.)
After an extensive hands-on session with Magic Media AI, I’ve compiled the outcomes. Overall, I’m impressed! While a few minor discrepancies were noted, they are not significant enough to hinder the results.
I hope you apply these techniques to your comic creation work. With time and advancements in technology, we can expect even better outcomes in the future.
