Next, navigate to the “Settings” tab to retrieve your Account ID and Account Key. Once you have that information, return to the Audio Codes Live Hub and paste in the URL. Make sure to include your Account ID and Account Key. You will also need to create a basic token (e.g., "123"). Now that you have created your bot, it's time to acquire a phone number. Click “Add New Number,” select your country (I’m in the United States, specifically South Carolina), and then click “Add Number.” The system will assign you a number from South Carolina.

Once you have your new number, add a name to it, such as "Ryan's Bot," and update accordingly.

Step 4: Routing The Calls

Go to the "Routing" section to add a couple of new rules for call management. Click "Add New Rule," setting the call origin as “Ryan’s Bot” and the call destination as the number you just purchased (ending in 97). You can enable Live Hub recording if desired before clicking "Create."

Add another routing rule for the reverse operation: set the call origin as your purchased number (ending in 97) and destination as “Ryan’s Bot.” Enable Live Hub recording again and then click "Create."

For the final routing rule, enable call transfer by specifying that calls from “Ryan’s Bot” should transfer to the number ending in 97. Click "Create" to finish this step.

Step 5: Editing Bot Features

Return to your Bots list and click on “Edit” for Ryan’s Bot. In the Features section, you can enable call transcripts and call recording. You can also configure the bot for transferring calls as needed.

Step 6: Connecting Everything

Now that everything is connected to Audio Codes with your bot and phone number setup, navigate to “Settings” and then to “Channels.” Click on “Voice” and select Audio Codes. Paste your phone number and click “Continue.”

Return to the settings and prepare a welcome message for Audio Codes. Remember to keep it text-based, as Audio Codes uses its Text-to-Speech service. Create a simple message like “Welcome! How can I assist you today?” and save it.

Step 7: Testing Your Phone Bot

Congratulations! Your Phone GPT is ready. You can test it out by scanning the QR code generated in the dashboard. Upon calling, you will receive a response like, “Welcome! How can I assist you today?”

You can interact with the bot as if you were talking to a human. The features also allow barge-in or touchtone keypad usage, giving users the ability to make the conversation more dynamic.

Using the bot, you can ask questions, request information, and even switch languages on command! For example, simply ask it to repeat something in Spanish, and it will accommodate.
