Introduction
Hey friends! Welcome back to my channel. I hope you’re having a lovely week! I can hardly believe we’re already nearing the end of the year; as I film this, it’s the end of October. This video will be up at the start of November, which means it’s time for my TBR jar picks for November reads!
It’s insane to think that in just a couple of months, it’ll be 2025! I’m also close to hitting my reading goal of 100 books this year. My physical TBR pile is quite substantial; I currently have 74 books waiting to be read. I’m determined to finish reading as many of them as possible before the year ends.
To keep things fun, I’ve created a TBR jar with prompts for my monthly reads. I gathered many prompts from Pinterest and some of my favorite YouTubers. The jar is adorable, featuring cute little ghosts and is actually designed as a candle holder—but I’ll be using it for my TBR picks!
Let’s dive in and pick 10 prompts to see which books I’ll read this November.
Prompt 1: A Book Published This Year
I’m excitedly kicking off with a book published this year: The Dagger and The Flame by Katherine Doyle. I’ve loved her work in the Twin Crowns series, and this one features a fiery enemies-to-lovers romance in a magical setting. I can’t wait to read it!
Prompt 2: A Book with a One-Word Title
For the second prompt, I picked Collide. This hockey romance involves a sports psychologist and the team captain. It sounds like an excellent palate cleanser!
Prompt 3: A Book Title Starting with a Letter from Random Generator
Next, I randomly generated the letter "G." The only option I found was The Gilded Cage, but since I haven’t read the first book in the series, I’ll include both The Prison Healer and The Gilded Cage in my November TBR.
Prompt 4: A Book with an Object in the Title
For this prompt, I am thrilled to pick Mirror of Beasts, the second book in Alexandra Bracken’s Silver in the Bone series. I loved the first book, and I’m eager to continue the journey!
Prompt 5: A Book from Kindle Unlimited
I’m having a bit of trouble with my Kindle, but one book I’m considering is Spark of the Everflame by Pen Cole. I’ve heard great things about this book on booktok, and I’m excited to give it a chance.
Prompt 6: A Book I Saw on TikTok
I’ll also be adding The Light That Binds Us by Andy Darcy Theo to my reading list. It’s featured a lot on TikTok, and I’m intrigued by its premise about teens with powers uniting to save the world.
Prompt 7: A Book I Want to Reread
One book I’d love to reread is Serpent and Dove. I’ve got all three books in the series on my shelf, and they’re perfect for diving back into familiar magic!
Prompt 8: A Book with an Animal on the Cover
For this prompt, I’m choosing Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver. There’s a parrot featured on the cover, so it fits perfectly!
Prompt 9: A Book Backed by a Favorite Author
Lastly, Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco is a recommendation from Elizabeth Lim, one of my favorite authors. I’m excited to dive into this dark fantasy filled with intrigue!
