Testing The NEW Watermelon Cuber from Amazon!
Last year, I tried a watermelon cutter that was supposed to make my life easier. Unfortunately, it didn’t work as expected and didn't provide the best experience. I couldn't see what I was doing, and it was clunky to use. However, I decided to give it another go with a new 2024 version of the cutter. This modern version boasts some improvements but also raises some concerns.
The previous model had only one cutter, but this new one features three cutters. Even though it sounds promising, I quickly discovered a significant flaw. The first problem was that I lost the fork that came with it, which was quite useful in the older version. My biggest issue with the old model was its inability to go deep enough, limiting me to cut only one layer at a time. This forced me to go back through and cut the watermelon again. However, the fork was an excellent feature allowing for easy picking once the watermelon was diced.
The 2024 version includes a blade intended to score all three layers instead of one. In theory, you press it all the way down, and the blade helps you cut along the depths of the watermelon, making extraction easy. However, reality proved different as I discovered something off during the process. I had to go back and manually cut the cubes again, and it was genuinely confusing.
Determined to give this its fair trial, I decided to start afresh. Cutting on a clean slate, I attempted to cube the watermelon again. Initially, things seemed to be going well, showing promise. Excitedly, I decided to dump out the cubes to see the results. Unfortunately, the reality was disappointing. The watermelon was uneven and unsymmetrical, and I felt the new device wasn't truly an upgrade from the old version.
In summarizing my experience, I would rate this new watermelon cutter as a 5 out of 10. It’s not ruined my watermelon entirely, but it certainly wasn’t the seamless upgrade that was promised.

FAQ
Q1: What’s the main difference between the old and new watermelon cutter? A1: The new 2024 version features three cutters and a blade designed to cut deeper and score all three layers instead of just one.
Q2: Is the fork that comes with the cutter necessary? A2: The fork provided in the old model was useful for picking the diced pieces, but the new version didn't include it, which somewhat reduces convenience.
Q3: Did the new cutter perform better than the old one? A3: Unfortunately, no. The new cutter didn't seem to perform as efficiently as expected, and it produced asymmetric and uneven cubes.
Q4: How would you rate the new watermelon cutter? A4: Based on my experience, I would rate the new watermelon cutter a 5 out of 10.
Q5: Was the new cutter easier to use? A5: No, the new cutter did not simplify the process as anticipated; instead, it required extra manual cutting for proper cubes.
